What makes us different?

Whether it is your first week’s skiing or your 30th we like to think of ourselves as expert potential unlockers, at the ready to help you make changes for the better.

We’ve been coaching in the Alps for 15 years and have spent hours working to understand how to help people change as well as finding out what makes for good holidays. With New Generation you can be assured you will be taught by an excellent teacher (not just a great skier or snowboarder).

Independent feedback: 98% good or excellent

We use Feefo (the independent feedback service) to keep us on our toes. 98% of our clients rate us as good or excellent. We are working hard to make it 100%

Only fully qualified coaches

Many ski schools employ part qualified instructors, known as “Stagieres”. We don’t. All our instructors are fully qualified meaning that they have undergone several years of training and have lots of teaching experience. Many of us are also instructor examiners.

We also call ourselves coaches, not instructors, because we don’t just deliver instructions. During your sessions we will try to understand how you learn best, work to make you feel comfortable and confident, and give you tips and feedback to take away and work on later that relate to your goals.

Book with confidence

We have a whole team of non -coaching support staff at the end of the phone. They are experts when it comes to determining the level and lesson types to suit you.

If we don’t crack it at booking, our coaches work together to ensure everyone is in the right level of group. We usually run a selection of levels in each resort and do our utmost to get everyone to the right place.

All our group lessons run for the full amount of time with only 2 people. And all our lessons are delivered in English.

Coaching not instruction

We believe great teaching is so much more than simply giving instructions and telling people where they are going wrong. Just because you’re a good skier doesn’t mean you can coach skiing.  We have several lesson essentials that are at the core of our coaching:

  • To make you feel comfortable and confident.
  • To understand what you want from the sessions – not everyone wants to ski fast; you are on holiday after all.
  • To give you constructive feedback and tips you can use afterwards.
  • To use simple everyday language we all understand.
  • To use your past experiences to aid understanding (e.g. riding a bike helps you understand pressure control and turning in powder).
  • To help everyone improve and enjoy themselves more.
