History

The Ski and Snowboard School

New Generation Ski and Snowboard School was founded in 1998 in Courchevel, France, and has been growing ever since. Set up by four British Ski instructors (Ali, Tom, Warren and Richard), New Generation now employs over 50 highly qualified coaches in seven of the top Alpine resorts (Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1850, Méribel, Val d’Isere, Tignes, Vallandry and Verbier).

Official Training Centre for British Instructors

New Generation is a training centre for up and coming ski instructors. In 2001, New Generation was made an Official Business Partner of BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors). We now run a number of instructor courses, including ski GAP courses, on behalf of BASI in the Trois Vallees ski area.

New Generation training team in Verbier

In 2006 we expanded our training centre to include Verbier. In Verbier we run our own training programme for instructors who are in their final stages of qualification (ISTD). The team of trainees work in our ski school during peak weeks and train in the non-peak weeks. On full qualification instructors are able to move to France and work in one of our 6 French resorts.

Award Winning

In 2004 and 2005, New Generation was voted No.1 Ski & Snowboard School by 'Which Books' (2005) and the 'Snow Awards' (2004, 2005). These Awards are no longer running so we are therefore current holders of the No.1 Ski School in the Alps Award!
