Introduction
This is the entry level course for students who wish to join the BASI Education System. The qualification is for those wishing to find employment in a non-mountain environment, i.e. Dry Slopes and Indoor snow slopes. It is also the 1st stage of the BASI Alpine Instructor Training Course.
Working with your Level 1 qualification
Although your Level 1 qualification is only the first stage of the BASI system you can actually start your working career. All Level 1's can work on UK dry / indoor slopes once they have also achieved the following:
1. First Aid Certificate
2. Child Protection Module
3. 35 hours of ski school experience (click here for New Generation's Ski School Experience Course)
Please note the above information is the current status but it is always worth checking with BASI as the ball park does tend to move now and again.

Ski Buying Guide
We often get asked to recommend skis for the course. we are always cautious when making recommendations as it is such an individual thing. However we are lucky enough to have a Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Ski Tester on our team so we passed the question on to him! Click here to read Dave Meyer's suggestions.
Please feel free to contact us using the form below.
