There aren’t many snow-capped mountains in the North-West so as soon as I graduated from the University of Manchester I ventured back to the Alps where my passion for skiing had first been ignited. With my Economics degree in the bag, I decided to put it to good use and start my ski instructor qualifications! I joined New Gen in 2010 and trained with them throughout my qualifications with their amazing team of coaches. Since qualifying, I now work as an Instructor and the Resort Manager for Tignes as well as New Gen’s Giving Coordinator.
I have always had that unexplainable draw to the mountains that so many skiers and boarders experience and I feel very lucky to spend my winters in Tignes doing what I love. From wee kiddies to the bus-pass generation; from tackling fears on the beginner slopes to fine-tuning technique in the bumps, I love the variety teaching and coaching brings and the amazing people you meet along the way. In the summer months, you’ll either find me in a classroom teaching English or on my road bike trying to preserve my knees and stay fit for the winter! I hope to have the pleasure of skiing with you soon in Tignes/Val!
