La Tania Ski School

Our La Tania Ski School

Our La Tania school was started back in 2008. With so many families flocking here the guys here have honed their skills teaching children and they know where to find the best hot chocolate and safe places to learn and have fun.

Our La Tania team also teach our trainee instructors and run specialist race camps and off piste courses.  So if it’s high level stuff you’re after then they’ll happily show you their favourite routes through the trees, or how to ski the gates at speed.

La Tania FAQ’s

What lift pass will I need for the lessons?

Adult beginners will not need a lift pass for day 1 as there is a free beginner area at the foot of the pistes. Child beginners will use the magic carpet on day at the top of the La Tania bubble so a single trip will be sufficient on day 1. Your instructor will tell you when you need to buy a lift pass. All other groups will need a Courchevel valley lift pass for your lessons.

Adults are unlikely to go into one of the other Valleys in our groups. Intermediate to advanced skiers might want a 3 Valleys pass to make the most of their week, however it is possible to upgrade your pass by the day for this purpose. For Rockets and Freeriders we recommend a 3 Valleys pass to make the most of the terrain in the lessons. Day upgrades can be bought if your child does not have a full 3 Valleys pass.

What happens if I’m in the wrong group?

We do our best to ensure that this doesn’t happen during the booking process. If your instructor feels that you are in the wrong group however we will do our best to move you into a more suitable level.

Where can I get my skis and snowboard equipment?

We recommend the following ski hire service in La Tania:

Ski Higher

Mobile rental service.

The Boot Lab – Boot Fitting Specialists

If you are considering buying ski boots (a worthy investment for comfort and performance) we recommend The Boot Lab in Courchevel 1650 or Meribel. Each boot fit is conducted by a boot fitting specialist, comes with a through free assessment and a comfort guarantee.

How can I reach other villages in the Courchevel valley?

There is a regular but service linking up Courchevel 1850, 1650, 1550 and Le Praz. La Tania is linked to this bus service with buses once an hour during the day and less frequently in the evenings.

Feedback from our clients in La Tania

“I would definitely recommend New Generation. The 3 private lessons had an amazing impact on the confidence and progress of our daughter. We were able to achieve a long held dream to ski together as a family – blues and reds – on our last 3 days. This was primarily due to the expert tuition of Diego and James.”

March 2016

“Our kids had a fantastic time with James in La Tania this year. It was very important to us that they had fun and James certainly provided that and bonded well with both children – they were full of stories at the end of each session. The lessons provided improved their technical ability noticeably by the end of the week and James had some good techniques to get them to behave well and be responsible for their own skis and picking themselves up from the slopes! I would happily recommend New Generation to others and will return for further lessons in the future.”

April 2016

“Three people have tried to teach me to ski. Sam is the first to succeed! Very patient and knew exactly how hard to push (teaching on greens then practising on blues). Also did a great job with the kids. We were all very impressed that four of them could get down Plan Fontaine on the last lesson.”
