Méribel Ski & Snowboard School

Our Méribel Ski School

Situated right in the heart of the Three Valleys, Méribel is a picturesque village boasting access to 600km of pistes in the largest skiable area in the world. Our Méribel team is led by Zoe Campbell. Zoe has been teaching skiing for over 20 years with vast experience teaching children and adults alike including many years spent training future instructors as a BASI trainer. In fact Zoe started our Méribel ski school way back! With so many years spent teaching in resort our Méribel team know the slopes inside out and can help you find the most suitable terrain to build confidence, hone your technique and have fun.

Zoe is joined by a strong, experienced team of ski & snowboard instructors in Méribel. Each bring their own skills, experience and passions, and who would love to share them with you on your next trip to Méribel. Many of them have been with New Gen for a number of years, and will happily show you their favourite secret spots around resort, no matter what your level.

And with Méribel being situated in the heart of the Three Valleys, the skiing options are endless.

Méribel FAQ’s

What lift pass will I need for the lessons?

The beginner area in Méribel is accessed via the Rhodos bubble so you will need a lift pass from day 1. The only exception to this is Whippersnappers who will start on the Chaudanne. Your instructor will be able to tell you when your child will need a lift pass. Lift passes are free for the under 5s though so if your child is 4 you may as well get one at the start of the week.

A Méribel pass will be sufficient for most adult groups, although we would recommend that intermediates upwards get a 3 Valleys pass to make the most of the area. Beginners may even choose a Méribel mini pass, for the first few days, although these must be bought daily from the lift pass office.

For children, a Méribel pass will be sufficient for Whippers, Wallabies and Arrows. Arrows may be asked to upgrade to 3 Valleys for a day to have an adventure and wander further afield We would recommend 3 Valleys passes for Bombers, Rockets and Freeride, who will explore further afield in their lessons.

You can find Méribel lift pass prices here.

What happens if I’m in the wrong group?

We do our best to ensure that this doesn’t happen during the booking process. If your instructor feels that you are in the wrong group however we will do our best to move you into a more suitable level.

Where can I get my skis and snowboard equipment?

Here are some of the options for ski hire in resort:

Slide Candy – A mobile ski hire company who will come to your chalet.

Sports Boutique – The first ever ski shop in Méribel. Ideally located at the centre of Méribel, next to the tourist office and near our shop.

Or, if you’re thinking of buying your own ski boots (a worthy investment for comfort and perfomance!) or are having issues with existing boots, that might need some tweaks:

The Boot Lab – Boot fitting specialists in Méribel and Courchevel. Pop in for a free assessment with their specialist boot fitters. Each boot comes with a comfort guarantee.

I’m staying in another level village. How can I get to my lessons?

Meribus is a free bus service, no need for a lift pass even! There are 3 main lines running between Meribel Centre and Les Allues & Meribel Village (line A), Plateau & Altiport (line B) and Mottaret (line D). Timetables available in the New Gen shop or the Tourist Office. The bus runs 7 days a week, 7am to Midnight.

The main drop off points in Meribel are at: La Chaudanne (close to our meeting point) and Centre (close to our shop, the Tourist Office and other useful shops)
