St Martin de Belleville Ski School

Our St Martin de Belleville Ski School

Our St Martin de Belleville ski school was started by Luke Gerrett in 2011. After several seasons teaching for us in Verbier and Val d’Isère, he headed to St Martin de Belleville and hasn’t looked back since. We are proud to tout the title of number one British-run ski school in St Martin de Belleville and are the only ski school with all fully qualified instructors on the team.

Along with their qualifications, our diverse St Martin de Belleville instructors bring years of experience as well as unique personalities and multiple language skills from their various home countries. They will ensure you build confidence, develop technique and have fun on the slopes. We teach all level of skiers or boarders from cautious first timers through to off piste adventurers! For anyone eager to try a new discipline, our St Martin de Belleville ski school can also offer telemark & cross-country ski lessons. And we are happy to provide private lessons from Les Menuires on request. With an experienced off-hill support team to assist and support your entire experience, we’ll ensure you leave happy, every time.

Fancy visiting us in resort? You can find the team at their little desk in Skimium ski shop on Rue Saint Martin next to the legendary “O P’tit Snack” snack bar.

St Martin FAQ’s

What lift pass will I need for the lessons?

Beginners will not need a lift pass for day 1 as there is a free beginner area at the foot of the pistes. Your instructor will tell you when you need to buy a lift pass.

All other groups will need a Belleville Valley lift pass for your lessons. We normally don’t go into the Three Valleys in our groups although higher level skiers might want to explore outside of lessons. Day upgrades can be bought for this purpose.

What happens if I’m in the wrong group?

We do our best to ensure that this doesn’t happen during the booking process. If your instructor feels that you are in the wrong group however we will do our best to move you into a more suitable level.

Where can I get my skis and snowboard equipment?

We recommend:

Skimium

Really helpful and friendly and located in the centre of St Martin on Rue Saint Martin.

What is the snow like? St Martin webcams

The official St Martin website has webcams for you to keep you eye on the snow levels.

“Exceptional snowboard coaching for two young boys. The instructor was very positive and inspirational, he enriched our children’s holiday and left them doing tricks after a week!!”

“Excellent afternoon with Luke (St Martin de Belleville). Friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. Gave me much more confidence in tackling off piste skiing safely. Very, very enjoyable and definitely to be repeated.”

January 2017

“My 6 year old described his ski lessons as “epic” everyday! Thank you for making his week such a positive experience. His skiing has really come on and he is also happy to carry his equipment, put it on independently which is a bonus.”
