What will you learn in our Adult Group Ski Lessons?

Adult Group Ski Lessons Overview

As you’d expect, all our ski group lessons are small and friendly. With a maximum of 8 people per group, you’ll get plenty of feedback, tips and coaching to help you develop your technique in a supportive and enjoyable setting.

We offer four levels of group ski lessons:

  • Level 1, Learn to Ski
  • Level 2, Perfect Plough
  • Level 3, Learn to Parallel
  • Level 4, Perfect Parallel

All our groups are delivered in English, offering easy communication. Guaranteed to run with just 2 people you can sit back and relax knowing you are safe hands.

Level 1: Learn to ski

If you’re new to skiing, these group sessions are the best option. They enable you to learn in a friendly, sociable group environment where everyone is learning simultaneously. As everyone is a beginner, you’ve got nothing to worry about, as we know learning a new skill as an adult can be daunting for some.

Not convinced by group lessons? As lessons are only 2 hours daily, there’s still plenty of time to ski with friends and family so that you won’t miss out on anything. And you’ll progress much quicker in lessons than when learning from a friend.

Top tip for your first time:

  • Ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes early to the meeting point so lessons run on time.

If you’re new to skiing, find out everything you need to know for your first time on snow.

Level 2: Perfect Plough

If you can snowplough turn competently on green runs but are yet to master parallel turns or feel confident on blue runs, then these sessions will be perfect for you. Our Perfect Plough lessons will build your confidence and give you the tools to start exploring more of the mountain with style and ease.

In these lessons, you’ll use different styles of lifts (chairlifts, drag lifts, gondolas and magic carpets) and gain confidence using all of them. You’ll begin moving around the mountain effortlessly, feeling less clumsy and more in control. You’ll start perfecting your snowplough in varying terrain, and it’s only once you’ve got a strong snowplough and are eager to go faster that you’ll move up to Level 3.

Level 3: Learn to Parallel

Are you comfortable on blue runs and no longer a plough turner but not entirely parallel? We highly recommend joining our Learn to Parallel group ski lessons if that sounds like you. We perform exercises and drills in these sessions to get your skis closer together and more in line. Alongside bringing your skis into parallel, we’ll start to pick up the pace and practice traversing and stopping with our skis straight.

As the group starts to progress we’ll move onto different, more challenging terrain to help you navigate all conditions.

Level 4: Perfect Parallel

If you can consistently perform basic parallel turns and feel happy on groomed red runs, our level 4 group is right for you. In these group sessions, you will begin to speed up the pace and ensure your skis are parallel throughout the whole turn.

We’ll begin to play around with turn shape and turn size and get to grips with what our poles are for. We’ll progress onto different terrains and learn how to navigate bumpy, chopped-up snow or icy sections. Overall, we want to improve your confidence and teach you the skills to navigate the whole mountain, no matter the conditions.
