Filippa Hvitved

I started skiing around the age of 4, learning through the various ski schools I attended over the years. I didn’t grow up in the mountains – I skied on holidays roughly every other year – and I’ve never competed. These days I usually ski on piste, but I also enjoy exploring off-piste terrain, and my best skiing memory is probably a great powder day with friends during our instructor course through the Danish ski school.

I became a ski instructor because I love skiing and enjoy sharing that passion with others, and my favourite thing about the job is working with so many different people and seeing them improve and overcome challenges. This will be my first season instructing, teaching piste skiing in St Anton and Lech.

I’m currently in my second gap year after finishing high school in Denmark, where I work as a substitute teacher – and in the summer break you’ll find me instructing kids at a summer camp or enjoying festivals and holidays with friends and family. I love all kinds of sports and have played handball since I was 4. One surprising fact about me: I also play the guitar, and took lessons for six years.
