I was introduced to the world of skiing at the age of 2, and ever since, my love for the sport has grown into a true passion. Alongside my siblings, I was taught primarily by my parents, both of whom have been skiing since childhood. Although I unfortunately didn’t grow up with slopes in the backyard, my family’s annual ski trips to Norway, Switzerland and Austria are some of my most cherished memories.
Another happy skiing moment was going off-piste with my colleagues last season on some particularly heavy powder days, almost feeling like we were flying down the mountain.
I became a ski instructor because I love skiing and the practice and improvement that is essentially a part of it. Constantly being able to work on my own technique while simultaneously sharing my passion for it with others, guests and colleagues alike, sounded like a dream job. Also, having scenic mountain views as an everyday office didn’t
sound bad either.
What I love most about instructing is working with so many different people, watching them improve, overcome challenges and most importantly, discover the magic of skiing themselves.
When I’m not enjoying the winter season in St. Anton, I spend my time at home working, being with friends and family, and staying active in any manner to substitute for the deprivation of skiing.
