Giovanni Taloni

I was born in Madesimo, in the middle of the Italian Alps, so skiing has been part of my daily life since I started at 3 years old, taught mainly by my father and my uncle. I competed for around 12 years, reaching national-level races – I always preferred Slalom and Giant Slalom, with a couple of Super G races along the way – and my best skiing memory is probably winning my first ski race. In my free time these days, I love having fun with freeride and freestyle skiing.

I’ve always loved skiing, and I believe getting to work with your passion is everyone’s dream – that’s why I became an instructor. Seeing guests improve and have fun is the most rewarding part of the job. I’ve been instructing for two years and teach piste skiing and ski touring in Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets.

In the summer, I work as a bartender, and away from skis, I love mountain biking and enduro riding on my motorcycle. One surprising fact about me: I converted a van into a camper, and since then, I’ve always been searching for new places to visit.
