Where to Meet for Your La Plagne Lessons

Welcome to La Plagne. Finding us on your first morning is simple, and this page gets you there with time to spare.

First, Check Which Meeting Point Is Yours

We have two meeting points in La Plagne. Your lesson decides which one.

Mountain Meet Point, top of the Mélèzes chairlift (for anyone happy on green pistes):

• Adult Group Lessons, Level 2 and above
• Children’s Group Lessons: Arrows and above
• Private lessons at this level, unless you’ve arranged somewhere else

Beginner Meet Point, bottom of the Indiens magic carpet (for first-timers):

• Children’s Wallabies groups
• Adult Group Lessons, Level 1
• Complete beginners in private lessons

Mountain Meet Point (Green Piste Level and Above)

We meet at the top of the Mélèzes chairlift, just above Plagne 1800. This point is on the mountain, so you’ll arrive on skis. There are no meeting flags here. Look for our instructors in their green North Face New Generation uniforms.

From Plagne 1800:

1. Head to the snow front. The Mélèzes chairlift is one of the two lifts leaving the village.
2. Ride the chair to the top. You’ll need a valid lift pass.
3. We’re at the top of the lift.

Beginner Meet Point (First-Timers)

For Wallabies, adult Level 1 groups and complete beginners in private lessons, we meet by the Indiens magic carpet in La Plagne on the snow front. Look for our instructors in their green North Face New Generation uniforms.

When to Arrive

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your lesson starts. If you’re heading to the mountain meet point, add time for the morning queue at the Mélèzes chair.

Getting Here

Staying in Plagne 1800? You’re closest. The beginner point is on your doorstep, and the Mélèzes chair leaves from the village snow front.

Staying in another La Plagne village? A free shuttle bus links the high-altitude villages, with the main route running between Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800 and Plagne Bellecôte through the day. No lift pass is needed on the bus. You can track shuttles live on the resort app. If you’re on skis with a pass, you can also ski across to the top of Mélèzes.

Coming up from the valley? Shuttle buses connect Aime, the valley town and railway station, to the La Plagne villages including Plagne 1800 during the season.

By car: Parking in the villages is limited and fills quickly in peak weeks, so allow extra time. Once parked, use the free shuttle rather than driving between villages.

What to Bring

• Your lift pass. You’ll need it to ride the Mélèzes chair to the mountain meet point, and for the lesson itself. The lift pass office is on the Plagne 1800 snow front, right next to the bottom of the Mélèzes chair, if you still need to collect or fix a pass.
• Skis, boots, poles and a helmet, fitted the day before if you can. See our La Plagne ski hire guide.
• Suncream, water and a snack for the kids.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are flexible. If our meeting point isn’t near your accommodation, we can suggest a better spot closer to you. Please tell us at the time of booking, so we have plenty of time to arrange it. Otherwise, your instructor will meet you at the meeting point for your level, as above.
