Where to Meet for Your Courchevel 1850 Lessons

Welcome to Courchevel 1850. Finding us on your first morning is easy, and this page gets you there with time to spare.

First, Check Which Meeting Point Is Yours

We have two meeting points in Courchevel 1850. Your lesson decides which one.

Main Meet Point (skiers at blue run level and above):

  • Adult Group Lessons, Levels 3 and above
  • Children’s Group Lessons: Bombers, Rockets, Freeride and Proride
  • Private lessons at this level, unless you’ve arranged somewhere else

Beginner Meet Point (complete beginners to green run level):

  • Adult Group Lessons, Levels 1 and 2
  • Children’s Group Lessons: Whippersnappers, Wallabies and Arrows
  • Private lessons at this level, unless you’ve arranged somewhere else

Main Meet Point (Blue Run Level and Above)

Our main meet point is just below the Croisette building, the big lift station with the three main gondolas, on the piste side. Look for the purple New Generation sign, and for our instructors in their green New Generation jackets.

On skis from the 1850 snow front:

  1. Stand facing the Croisette lift building.
  2. Ski under the bridge to the left of the building, following signs for Courchevel Village 1550 and Le Praz.
  3. Turn immediately right as you come out of the tunnel.
  4. You’ll see our purple sign. Watch a short video of the route.

On foot from the village:

  1. From the Croisette or the Forum, cross to the opposite side of the road.
  2. Take the metal stairs to the right of the Forum down to the piste.
  3. We’re at the bottom of the stairs.

Beginner Meet Point (Beginners to Green Run Level)

Meet at the bottom of the Jardin Alpin gondola, in front of the big pine tree. You don’t need a lift or a lift pass to reach this point. It’s a short walk from the centre of 1850. Look for our instructors in their green New Generation jackets.

When to Arrive

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your lesson starts. This ensures that there are no delays to your lesson start time. Check your booking confirmation for your lesson start time.

Getting Here

Staying in Courchevel 1850? Both meeting points are in the resort centre, a short walk or ski from most accommodation. No lift pass is needed to reach either point on foot.

Coming up from Le Praz or the valley? The Praz gondola runs from the Alpinium building in Le Praz to the centre of 1850 in about six minutes. You’ll need a valid lift pass to ride up. Any Courchevel or 3 Vallées ski pass works, or you can buy a single ride or pedestrian ticket at the Alpinium. Riding down at the end of the day is free.

By car: In 1850, the closest parking is the covered La Croisette car park in the village centre, right by the lifts. It’s paid and fills early in peak weeks, so arrive before about 8.30am. A good alternative is the 500-space car park under the Alpinium in Le Praz, then the Praz gondola up.

By ski bus: A free shuttle bus links all the Courchevel villages, including Le Praz, 1550, 1650 and 1850. No lift pass is needed on the bus. Allow around 10 minutes from Le Praz to 1850, longer at peak times.

What to Bring

  • Your lift pass. You’ll need it for the lesson itself, even though you can reach both meeting points without one. You can collect pre-ordered passes from the machine inside the Croisette building.
  • Skis, boots, poles and a helmet, fitted the day before if you can. See our Courchevel ski hire guide
  • Suncream, water and a snack for the kids.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are flexible. We can meet you at your hotel, chalet, or anywhere that suits you, but please tell us in advance. Requests for a different meeting point need to reach us at least 24 hours before your lesson. If nothing is arranged, your instructor will meet you at the meeting point for your level, as above.
