Where to Meet for Your Morzine Lessons

Welcome to Morzine. Our meeting point is at the top of the Pleney gondola, and this page gets you up there with time to spare.

The Meeting Point (All Group Lessons)

We meet at the top of the Pleney gondola, along the fence by the telephone mast. Look for our instructors in their green North Face New Generation uniforms.

  1. Ride the Pleney gondola up from the centre of Morzine. You’ll need a valid lift pass.
  2. At the top, turn right.
  3. Walk past the restaurant and the other ski schools’ meeting points.
  4. We’re along the fence, slightly around the corner, by the telephone mast.

When to Arrive

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your lesson starts, and add time for the morning queue at the Pleney gondola. It’s the main lift out of Morzine centre and can get busy in the morning.

Check your booking confirmation for your lesson start time.

Getting Here

Staying in Morzine? The Pleney gondola leaves from the centre of town, and the main bus stop is directly opposite it. Morzine’s shuttle buses are completely free and run seven days a week on colour-coded routes around town.

Coming from the Super Morzine side? The free Petit Train shuttles between the foot of the Super Morzine gondola and the Pleney base in about five minutes, with racks for your skis.

Not skiing, but coming up with a child or to watch? The Pléney gondola is open to pedestrians. You can buy a pedestrian ticket at the Pleney ticket offices under the gondola.

By car: There is a central car park near the Pleney lift. There’s also free parking at the Nyon cable car, though that’s a different lift base, so allow time to get across to the Pleney.

What to Bring

  • Your lift pass. You need it to ride the Pleney gondola up to the meeting point, and for the lesson itself. The ticket offices are under the gondola, with a 24-hour machine and an internet-order collection point outside if you pre-ordered.
  • Skis, boots, poles and a helmet, fitted the day before if you can. See our Morzine ski hire guide.
  • Suncream, water and a snack for the kids.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are flexible. We can meet you at your chalet, hotel or anywhere that suits, but please let us know when you book, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. If nothing is arranged, your instructor will meet you at the group meeting point at the top of the Pleney, as above.

Running Late or Can’t Find Us?

Don’t worry, it happens every week. Contact our Morzine team staffed during lesson hours, and we’ll guide you in or connect you with your group.
