Where to Meet for Your Tignes Lessons

Welcome to Tignes. Our meeting point is in the heart of Tignes le Lac, right beside the free bus stop, and this page gets you there with time to spare.

The Meeting Point (All Group Lessons)

We meet in Tignes le Lac, in the small triangle between three easy landmarks. Look for our instructors in their green North Face New Generation uniforms.

  1. Head to the centre of Tignes le Lac.
  2. Find the Maison de Tignes, the tourist office building.
  3. We’re between the Maison de Tignes, bus stop number 1, and the top of the magic carpet tunnel.

The meeting point is at the village level, so you don’t need a lift pass to reach it.

Find it on your phone:

When to Arrive

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your lesson starts. This will ensure we can start the lesson on time, so you get as much time as possible on the slopes.

Check your booking confirmation for your lesson start time.

Getting Here

Staying in Le Lac? You’re moments away. The meeting point is right in the village centre.

Staying in Le Lavachet or Val Claret? Tignes’ free shuttle buses run on the Tignes 2100 circuit linking Le Lavachet, Le Lac and Val Claret from early morning, with night buses covering the small hours. Best of all, the meeting point is right beside bus stop number 1, so the bus drops you within metres of us. No ticket or lift pass is needed. In good conditions, you can also ski across between the villages with a valid pass.

Staying in Tignes 1800 or Les Brévières? The Tignes 1800 shuttle circuit links Tignes 1800 with the main resort, and pedestrians can ride the Brévières gondola between Les Brévières and Tignes 1800 for free.

By car: Winter parking in Le Lac and Val Claret is paid, spaces should be booked in advance in busy weeks, and cars left on the streets are towed. Handily, the car park reception desk is inside the Maison de Tignes Le Lac, right at our meeting point, if you need help on arrival. Parking Indigo Tignes Lac 1, 2 and 3 are the closest car parks to our meeting point. Free outdoor parking is available at the lower Tignes villages, with the free bus connecting up.

What to Bring

  • Your lift pass. You don’t need it to reach the meeting point, but you’ll need it for the lesson itself. You can collect your lift passes from the Office de Tourisme de Tignes le Lac.
  • Skis, boots, poles and a helmet, fitted the day before if you can. See our Tignes ski hire guide.
  • Suncream, water and a snack for the kids. Tignes is high, so the sun is strong even when it’s cold.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are flexible. We can meet you at your chalet, hotel, or anywhere that suits you, but please tell us at the time of booking. If nothing is arranged, your instructor will meet you at the group meeting point in Le Lac, as above.

Running Late or Can’t Find Us?

Don’t worry, it happens every week. Call or WhatsApp our Tignes team, and we’ll guide you or connect you with your group.
