Italian Ski Instructor

Known to most as Ale, I first started skiing at the age of four, taught by a ski instructor, and quickly discovered a passion that would shape my life.

I grew up in Bologna, but when I started high school I moved to the mountains so I could combine my studies with skiing every day. I began racing at just six years old and continued until I was 19, competing across Italy—first with a children’s team from Bologna, then in the Alps at the highest national level.

My main disciplines were giant slalom, super-G, and downhill, and racing played a huge role in developing both my technique and mindset. After finishing my racing career, becoming an instructor felt like the natural next step, allowing me to keep skiing while passing on everything I’d learned over 13 years of competition. What I love most about instructing is meeting people from all over the world, exchanging ideas, and sharing my passion for skiing. In my free time, I enjoy carving on piste, and one of my most meaningful ski memories is meeting my first high school coach—we connected instantly and achieved great results together.

During the summer, I work as an MTB and e-MTB guide in Tuscany, organising tours in the Bolgheri area that combine riding with tastings of world-famous local products. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out on my bike training. I’m a qualified Italian ski instructor and first-level federal coach, and I also hold an e-MTB and MTB guide qualification.
