I started skiing at the age of two, and by six I was already skiing black runs—and occasionally sword-fighting my brother with our poles while charging down reds.
I was taught by my parents, with my mum being a ski instructor in her twenties, and many of our family trips were spent in Grindelwald, Switzerland, a place that still holds a very special place in my heart.
I was lucky to ski often growing up, later attending ski camps with my race team, and I’ve raced for many years in GS and Slalom, with a few Super G races along the way. I still compete now with my team, CDC Performance, coached by Chemmy Alcott.
In my free time, I love exploring every part of the mountain—especially if there’s a hot chocolate waiting at the end—and I also enjoy taking photos of my friends skiing. One of my favourite ski memories is a family trip to La Tania, France, where my uncle fell over while standing still and, instead of helping, we buried him in snowballs until he blended into the piste. I always knew I wanted to be a ski instructor, starting with a gap year during school and quickly realising I wanted to keep coming back—now in my third season, I still can’t believe I get to wake up and ski every day.
What I love most about instructing is meeting amazing people and helping them build confidence on the mountain. Outside of skiing, I once flew to the US to buy, build, and race a $500 Cadillac Deville in an amateur 24-hour race in Chicago, and in summer you’ll find me either sailing in the Baltic or on a tennis court, where I’ve competed at county level and gained my Level 2 tennis coaching qualification.
When I’m not doing any of that, I’m probably baking—anything from cookies to full birthday cakes for friends and family.
