BSI 2 (Danish ski school)
I started skiing as soon as I fit into ski boots- at around two and a half years old. I grew up in Denmark, so our winter holidays have always been spent skiing in the mountains. I’ve never competed, though I would have loved to do some competitive skiing. I don’t have one single best skiing memory – all my memories on skis are my favourites. These days, I’m primarily an on-piste skier, but I’m planning to do a lot more touring and off-piste this season.
I became an instructor because I want to teach others to love this sport as much as I do, and my favourite thing about the job is seeing when it “clicks” for my students – when all the drills we’ve been doing suddenly start to make sense. I’ve been instructing for four years and teach piste skiing in St Anton and Lech.
In the summer, I keep busy back in Denmark, working at events and concerts, mountain biking, road cycling, running and hitting the gym, plus a bit of amateur football. One surprising fact about me: I have a real interest in cars, engines and all things mechanical.
