I first started skiing at about 3 years old, though I was actually scared of snow when I began! I was taught mainly by my dad, a former ski instructor himself, with a few years of ski school in Switzerland whenever he wanted a break. I was born in the UK but grew up in Munich and later Basel, so I spent my childhood travelling to German and Austrian resorts at every opportunity, always looking to improve. I never competed, but these days I love skiing off-piste, especially in steep terrain, and I’ve recently been getting into ski touring to access even more of the mountain. My favourite memory is heliskiing in Whistler through a friend: the most amazing snow and scenery I’ve ever skied.
I became an instructor because my dad and older sister were both ski instructors, and I always wanted to follow in their footsteps. My favourite thing about the job is getting to know so many new people and sharing my passion for skiing.
I hold a degree in Economics and Maths, and spent a year studying abroad in Vancouver, skiing in Whistler every chance I got. In the summer, I travel as much as possible and work in premium hospitality events. Off the snow, I love cars (especially old ones), wildlife photography, hiking, running and climbing.
