Our Les Gets Ski School is situated in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, a vast ski area where the sun shines over the perfect pistes with Mont Blanc on the horizon. Our international team of Ski Instructors also works across Morzine and Avoriaz, so they know the area like the back of their hand.

We offer a variety of ski lessons and coaching tailored to all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced skier, our expert instructors are here to help you improve.

Our dedicated team in Les Gets is committed to continuous development. Our highly qualified ski instructors have undergone rigorous training and shadow local guides to familiarize themselves with the best off-piste terrain. They have also taken specialized courses in freestyle and avalanche safety.

Group Lessons – The New Generation Les Gets Ski School meeting point is situated on the snow front, beside Chavannes Express & Chavanne bubble. Find the ticket office just off the main street, walk up the stairs onto the snow front and you will meet your instructor beside the fence.

Private Lessons – We’ll meet you at a convenient location for you. Get in touch with our team on the week of your lesson to arrange the best meeting point.

Our Ski School Lesson Costs are from

* quoted prices are for 1 – 2 pupils in non-peak weeks. Additional pupils can be added for a fee and prices in peak weeks are higher. Prices may vary in other ski schools. If you’d like to book beginner lessons in Les Gets, click here to see our online lesson availability.

Kids:

  • Whippersnappers to Bombers will need the Les Gets/Morzine Pass.
  • Rockets to Pro-riders will need the Les Gets/Morzine Pass. Our instructors will advise if they need to upgrade to a Portes du Soleil Pass.

Adults:

  • Adults in our Level 1 groups need the Les Gets/Morzine Pass.
  • Adults in our Levels 2, 3 and 4 will need the Les Gets/Morzine Pass. Our instructors will advise if you need to upgrade to a Portes du Soleil Pass.
  • Off-Piste Courses will need the Les Gets/Morzine Pass.

Airport Transfer

Most people that use air travel fly into Geneva as it’s less than 100 km drive to Les Gets.  There are shuttle buses from 25-50€ per person, or you can take a private taxi.  There are also shuttle bus services from Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble, but for the higher price of between 60-100€ per person.

Alternatively, you can take a train to Cluses or Thonon les bains and then take either a public or shuttle bus or a private taxi into resort.

These can be accessed on the Les Gets Website.

If you’re a complete beginner, as an adult or child, Les Gets is a good ski area for first timers. With 13 blue runs and 7 green runs, there is plenty of choice to get you up on your feet.

Les Gets also has plenty of ski schools to choose from, with native english speakers and excellent customer service. Here at New Generation, we have small groups for adults and children or private lessons where individual students can get one-on-one coaching from our fully qualified instructors. In school holidays, ski schools are much busier, so it’s best to book ahead of time to get a good deal.

There is also a free beginner area where you can learn to ski without having to pay for a lift pass. The Mappys area is close to the Chavannes cable car. Read more about the best beginner area in Les Gets here.

Whether you’re a non-skier or have one in your party, or you’re looking for something to do when the weather draws in, there are plenty of non-skiing activities to keep you entertained in Les Gets.

Les Gets does sit on the lower end of the scale, in terms of altitude, so it does get affected by warmer temperatures towards the end of the season. But most people who stay in Les gets can easily access the neighbouring village of Avoriaz which sits at closer to 2,000m.

Morzine and Les Gets’ do have heavily wooded slopes which provide good protection from bad weather.

Les Gets is a fantastic resort for families of all ages. There is such a variety of slopes to keep all abilities happy. And plenty of activities within the resort to entertain everyone.

Les Gets is a reasonably expensive resort. There are plenty of lively bars and restaurants where you can splash the cash or cheaper places to eat on a budget if you’d prefer.

Geneva is the closest international airport to Les Gets ski resort. Which is just over 1 hour from Les Gets.

There is a regular bus service linking up with Morzine, Les Gets, Montroids and even as far as Les Jotty. Timetables can be found at the bus stops and in the Tourist Office.
