If you’re confident on-piste in Verbier and you’re ready to step properly into un-groomed snow, this clinic is the most confidence-building start.
You’ll work on the foundations that make powder and variable snow feel “skiable” rather than survival-based:
– building a stance that stays stable when the snow changes
– managing speed without relying on hard edges
– choosing simple, low-consequence lines that let you learn faster
Alongside the skiing, we’ll cover the practical essentials of off-piste awareness and equipment. You’ll finish the clinic with better technique, clearer judgement, and a plan for how to keep progressing safely in Verbier.
Equipment: transceiver, shovel, probe (let us know if you need to borrow kit).
A few days before you ski, we’ll send you a practical email with your meeting point and everything you need for a smooth start.
On the day, we’ll begin with a quick check-in: goals, recent experience, and a simple warm-up so your instructor can confirm the best terrain and pace for you (or your group). From there, it’s a blend of coaching and guided skiing—short, clear feedback you can apply immediately, followed by skiing the kind of snow you came to Verbier for.
Off-piste is never one-size-fits-all. Wind, visibility, and avalanche risk can change the plan quickly, so we choose the right sector for the conditions. Sometimes that means high alpine bowls; sometimes it means more sheltered terrain so you can keep learning even on challenging weather days.
You’ll leave with:
– clearer technique for variable snow
– better tactics for choosing and skiing lines
– stronger off-piste judgement and safer habits in the mountains
In Verbier, our standard meeting point is Arctic Juice café, next to the W Hotel and opposite the Médran lift station. If your day requires a different start point (for example, a touring-specific meet), we’ll confirm that in advance.
Essentials:
– Helmet, goggles/sunglasses, gloves, and waterproof layers
– Lift pass (we’ll advise which pass fits your plan)
– Small backpack with water + snacks
– Sunscreen
Off-piste safety kit:
– Transceiver, shovel, probe (let us know ahead of time if you need to borrow kit)
Nice-to-have:
– Small first aid kit
– Spare gloves / buff
– Spare batteries (especially in cold spells)
