La Banquise Igloo Village
One of our favourite activities for Kids in Tignes is La Banquise. Youngsters can wander through this charming igloo village. La Banquise is complete with an ice maze and an ice castle.
The area also features a gentle carousel ride. There is also a demonstration where kids get a behind-the-scenes peek at how the snow is prepared.
The space is free of charge. It’s a safe and stress-free spot for parents to relax while their children play. Prices & Opening Times: La Banquise is open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM throughout the winter season. All activities and access to the village are free of charge. Carousel rides may require a small token or fee, usually around €2 per ride.

Snowtubing

For those looking to add a bit of speed and excitement, snowtubing is a fantastic choice. You’ll slide down specially prepared slopes in large inflatable tubes at up to 45 km/h.
Snowtubing is fast becoming a favourite among families and ABSki nannies. This is thanks to its accessibility and fun factor.
Snowtubing is suitable for kids as young as 3. This makes it a fantastic way to introduce younger children to snow sports.
Prices and Opening Times: Snowtubing runs daily from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Sessions typically cost around €10 to €15 per child, with equipment hire included. Booking in advance is recommended during peak periods.
Dog Sledding

Husky-powered dog sledging is a unique way to take in Tignes’ natural beauty.
The friendly huskies themselves are a highlight for kids. Families can visit the dogs, learn about their care, and even help with feeding or petting.
This makes dog sledding a standout experience for children and adults. An activity truly unique to a ski holiday.
Dog sledding is suitable for children from the age of 2.
Prices & Opening Times: Dog sledding excursions typically run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and last 20 to 40 minutes per ride.
Prices are from €65 per person.
Tignespace Sports Centre
Tignespace is the ultimate destination for escaping the cold or burning off energy. This large sports complex offers many activities to keep kids engaged and active.
Younger children will enjoy the trampolines. These are safe and fun for toddlers and older kids alike. Kids over the age of five can try their hand at the indoor climbing walls. The variety ensures something for every interest and age group. This makes it perfect for active family time, regardless of the weather. Teens and adults alike may also be interested in the golf simulator. This makes Tignes space one of the few places in the Alps where you can have a winter-time round of golf.
Prices & Opening Times: Tignespace is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Entry fees vary by activity but range from €5 to €26 per session.
Family passes and multi-session deals are often available for better value.
Le Lagon Aquatic Centre

Le Lagon Aquatic Centre is the perfect place to break from the cold or recover from a day on the slopes.
It features a dedicated children’s pool complete with slides. Perfect for splashing around and burning off extra energy.
Adults can unwind in the wellness area, which includes saunas and steam rooms. Ideal after a day on the slopes.
What makes Le Lagon even better is that entry is often included with your ski pass. This means you can easily fit a swim into your schedule without worrying about extra costs.
It’s a great way to keep the whole family happy. Le lagon is especially popular on rainy days when a rest is needed.
Prices & Opening Times: Le Lagon is open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Access is often included with your ski pass. Standalone tickets cost around €10 for adults and €6 for children aged 3-12.
Children under three usually enter for free. Wellness areas may have additional charges or require bookings.
Cable Car Rides

Exploring the mountains is a breeze with Tignes’ efficient cable cars. It’s a perfect way to take in the best views for those who aren’t skiing.
Kids under 8 enjoy free access to funicular and gondola rides. This allows families to see breathtaking views of ski areas without extra cost.
These rides are a key part of the mountain experience. They offer spectacular panoramic views of the snowy peaks and forests.
Prices and opening times: Cable cars and funiculars operate from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM during the winter season. Children under 8 ride free with a valid lift pass.
Older children and adults pay for pedestrian lift passes. These are €16 for a child’s day pass (8-18 y.o.) and €26 for an adult’s day pass. A single return trip to the top will cost €12 for children (8-18 y.o.) and €17 for adults.
Expedition Cobra
Expedition Cobra offers an exhilarating three-kilometre-long nighttime sledge descent. It’s the perfect activity for older teens who want action-packed apres activities. Prices and opening time: Expedition Cobra sets off from the Palafour lift. It costs €12 per descent per person. It is open daily from 20 December to 10 April.
