Avoriaz Ski & Snowboard School

Our Avoriaz Ski School

After a number of years running our Morzine Ski School, we started offering private lessons in Avoriaz as well. But this year we’re taking it a step further and opening an new Avoriaz Ski & Snowboard School with a range of lessons for everyone. Our team in Avoriaz is headed up by Christian Lindley who has been running our Morzine Ski School since 2013. Christian will oversee both the Morzine and Avoriaz ski & snowboard schools, after many years teaching with New Generation in Verbier and Val d’Isère.

We offer a wide range of lessons in Avoriaz, from tiny tots to all-mountain goats, which most importantly are a lot of fun! So whether you’re a skier or boarder, starting out, improving, or keen to head off the beaten track, we’ve got something to help you improve, build confidence and make the most of your stay in the expansive Portes du Soleil.

If you’re staying in a different part of Portes du Soleil, don’t forget we still offer lessons just around the corner in our Morzine Ski School. Double the fun!

Our Avoriaz Ski School Meeting Point

Where you’ll meet your instructor

The New Generation Avoriaz Ski School meeting point is situated just at the top of the Prodains Express gondola. Head up the gondola, take the escalator and turn right at the top. You will see a ticket office on your left. Our New Generation ski instructors are easily identifiable in their bright blue uniforms.

Avoriaz FAQ’s

What lift pass will I need for the lessons?

An Avoriaz or Portes du Soleil ski pass is recommended for all our lessons. During a 2hr lesson it is possible to just use an Avoriaz pass, but if you’re a more advanced skier you’ll likely want to explore a bit further, so it’s great to make use of the Portes du Soleil pass.

You can find details on Avoriaz lift pass prices here.

What happens if I’m in the wrong group?

We do our best to ensure that this doesn’t happen during the booking process. If your instructor feels that you are in the wrong group however we will do our best to move you into a more suitable level.

Where can I get my skis and snowboard equipment?

There are a number of hire shops close to our meeting point:

Changabang – Just a 1-2 minute walk from our meeting point at the top of Prodains gondola. It’s both a burger bar and a ski & snowboard shop!

Ski Republic
