Avoriaz ski resort sits at 1800m altitude.

Avoriaz is a great resort for families. It really is hard to find a resort that is as safety focused and centred around children’s enjoyment on the mountain. The ski area is huge and there are:

  • 3 specific zones for beginners
  • 37 green slopes
  • 123 blues

It’s also good to note that in Avoriaz 1800, children under the age of 5 ski for free, and the child ski pass is valid up to the age of 15 years (inclusive) rather than the usual 12 years. There’s also a reduced rate for teenagers aged 16 to 19 years too – so they can enjoy all the joys of skiing without breaking the bank!

In Avoriaz & Morzine we recommend one company who provides childcare options:

Jack Frost’s
Quality childcare in the Portes du Soleil.
