Meribel has a variety of terrain suitable for all levels, from beginner to expert. The resort’s slopes are divided into three main areas: Meribel Altiport, Meribel Mottaret, and Meribel Centre. Each area offers a different skiing experience, from gentle green runs to challenging black runs. The resort keeps its pistes immaculately maintained, making it an amazing resort for beginners.

Despite not being traditionally famous for its off-piste skiing, Meribel offers some incredible off-piste terrain that caters to a variety of skill levels. Meribel is a relatively high ski resort, sitting at 1450m altitude and snow is rarely a problem, until the spring time. The snow is well managed in the spring as some slopes are south facing so do get affected by the sun. But Meribel is such a large resort that even with one run closed, there are always plenty of options to still move about with ease.

Meribel’s altitude is dependent on the particular village.

Meribel Mottaret: 1750m, Meribel centre: 1500m, Meribel Village – 1450m

At the highest levels (in terms of altitude) neighbouring Meribel is: Mont Vallon nearly tops 3000m (2952m to be precise) and other high peaks near Meribel include the Aiguille de Fruit (3051m), Dent de Burgin (2739m), Mont du Borgne (3153m), Roc de Tougne (2537m) and Rocher de la Loze (2526m).
