2 Hour Private Ski Lesson

2-hour private ski lessons are a great way to get focused coaching on specific techniques or areas of improvement. They can be a great way to start the week, or you can take a short lesson each day to help you make consistent improvements throughout the week. We don’t have a huge amount of time to explore in a 2-hour lesson, so your session will be mainly focused on drills and skills.

Looking for something more challenging?

What to Expect

Private ski lessons are the most flexible ski lessons New Generation offers. You can book a one-off session as a refresher at the start of your holiday, to build confidence and focus on a specific goal.

When you book your lessons you’ll have the opportunity to tell us a little more about what you want out of your lessons. Our team will use this to help select the perfect ski instructor. If they need any more information they will get in touch before your lessons start.

In the days before your ski lessons start you will get a couple of emails from us. Reconfirming where you’re meeting your ski instructor and letting you know their name, if you don’t already.

When you arrive for your first lesson your ski instructor will quickly double check they have all the correct information. And, if needed give you avalanche safety equipment for off-piste lessons.

Then away you go.

Tips for Private Ski Lessons

To get the most out of your private ski lessons, we recommend being clear about what you want from your time with us. And sharing it in as much detail as possible. This will help our team find the perfect ski instructor to take your lessons or guide you off-piste.

Try and keep the people in the group at similar ability levels. Our team can manage groups of different levels, but safety is our top priority. So we’ll stick to runs that are suitable for the weakest skier in the group. So faster skiers might feel less challenged.

If you’re planning on skiing off-piste make sure you let us know in advance. We’ll need to make sure your instructor has safety gear for everyone who needs it. And, our team like to be able to start planning in advance. Checking in on snow conditions and avalanche risk in the areas they think would be good for your group.

If you have specific restaurants you would like to stop at, it’s worth booking them in advance. The most popular spots fill quickly. Our team can do this on your behalf if you like.

“Excellent 2hour improver lesson Andrea was both helpful and kind during my 2 hour lesson. I am an intermediate level skier but wanted to improve my technique, both my husband and son commented that I had improved significantly.”

Emily Thorpe

“Superb experience The website was clear, booking lessons was very clear and communication before lesson was excellent. The private lessons themselves were excellent – my daughters started as total beginners and made fantastic progress.”
