Ski and Snowboard Lessons in Serre Chevalier

New Generation Ski School Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier is home to some of the best tree-skiing in the French Alps – an abundance of widely-spaced larch trees has a lot to do with this. Amazingly, the resort remains relatively undiscovered, so you can expect quiet pistes even in peak weeks. Serre Chevalier offers excellent value for money and southern alpine sunshine.

Gavin and Mel have run our Serre Chevalier ski school for the past 25 years. Gavin offers private coaching and ski lessons for all levels and ages. If you’d like to learn a new skill in a single focused session, like how to ski off-piste, avalanche safety, couloirs, carving, or bumps or are feeling nervous, why not book ski lessons with us in Serre Chevalier Valley?

Meeting Point

Where you’ll meet your instructor

Our main base is Le Monêtier les Bains (the highest sector in Serre Chevalier, far right on the piste map). During peak weeks e.g. February Half Term, we almost always ski from our Monêtier meeting point.

Subject to availability and only when pre-arranged, we can meet you at any of the lift stations e.g.

  • Monêtier (our main base, at the bottom of the BACHAS chairlift)
  • Villeneuve-Le Bez (in front of the Chazelay restaurant terrasse which is near the bottom of the Casse de Boeuf chairlift)
  • Chantemerle (usually outside Café Soleil, Ratier)
  • Briançon (Prorel)

Gavin is identifiable with our black and sand colour North Face uniform and a blue helmet!

The highest end of Serre Chevalier (LE MONETIER LES BAINS) boasts one of Europe’s largest thermal baths Les Grands Bains. Indoor and outdoor steaming pools, jets, plunge pools of differing temps, sauna, waterfall, … A must for skiers and non-skiers alike.
