Four instructors decided to do something different and started New Gen in Courchevel 1650, one of the first independent ski schools in the Alps.

What we believe
Creating a community beyond skiing
We are a community of snowsports enthusiasts. We believe that by working together and sharing ideas we offer our clients, partners and team a better experience. This also helps us make a bigger impact, and sparked the thinking behind our Giving Programme.
Who we are

With New Generation you get:
At a recent team away day, one of our team asked one of our founders, Tom, why he set up New Gen back in 1998. His answer? We just wanted to make ski lessons awesome and help people to have fun.
New Gen was born in Courchevel by four instructors keen to do something different. We were one of the first independent ski schools in the Alps, back when ski coaching was a very different beast. Times have changed, and our competition has most certainly got stronger. But what hasn’t changed is our desire to make skiing fun, and to provide the best possible experience for our clients.
Since those, early days we’ve grown to 17 teams across the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps. Each offering the same New Gen experience, while providing a small team feel to so many of our clients who return each year. So whether you’re in Meribel or Morzine, Verbier or Val d’Isere you’ll get the same service, the same smile and the same support.
With New Gen recently celebrating its 20 year milestone, we’ve been thinking back to where it all began, and the journey we’ve had along the way. We might not always have got it right, but we’ve been incredibly lucky to have learned from some amazing people. We’re committed to development and innovation which is why we’re proud to be an official BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) partner, with many of our team BASI trainers and mentors. We’re continually learning from our team, from our clients, and from our partners, and we’ll use these experiences to help ensure we continue to provide a service than meets or exceeds your expectations. And a service we can all be proud of.
Our values are very important to us. They were decided as a team, and reflect on what is important to us and how we want to be. They’re not just words we put on a wall or something to display on our website. They shape how we work together, as well as how we work with our clients and our partners, and how we operate within our communities. We strive to be:

We opened in our 10th resort, in St Martin de Belleville, and were operating out of the Three Valleys, Espace Killy and Paradiski at this point.

We were really growing at this point and toppled over the 100 instructors mark.
We believe the businesses have the power to do good. This was driving force behind the beginning of our Charity Giving initiative, which continues to grow and evolve, supporting projects linked with what we do.
