I didn’t start skiing until I was 14 years old. My childhood was mainly spent playing rugby, mountain biking, and martial arts, but then one day my mum said she wanted to try skiing! I have to be honest, at the time it was the last thing I wanted to do. Despite my disapproval, we went anyways. After our family’s first ski holiday, we got the bug for it and have gone skiing for a week every year since then. As I grew up my passion for skiing grew too. I had always looked at ski instructors and thought I would love to be able to do that but it was just a dream, as I never thought it was realistic for me.
Then one year I decided I was going to explore the career further. I did my first ever season with New Generation in Courchevel training for my BASI Level 1 and 2 qualifications. Once I had completed this I knew ski instructing was definitely what I wanted to do, so I went on to train for my Level 3 the following season with New Generation. The quality of the training I received and the amazing New Gen team is what has inspired me to keep progressing and become a part of New Gen. In and around my training I have been lucky to teach in Italy and Switzerland.
Recently I am exploring new, fun ways to keep fit for skiing, so if you have any ideas don’t hesitate to share! I love all types of skiing and am constantly trying to improve my own techniques so you may see me messing around in my free time making a fool of myself!
I love to teach people of all natures and meeting interesting people. I can keep it simple but if you want technical I love that. Most of my experience has been with adults and teenagers. Either way we’ll have fun!
Chill! Enjoy the ride and take in the scenery.
