Ski Instructor, St Anton & Lech

My Story

I grew up in Denmark, a very flat country with no opportunities to ski, so we only had one week of skiing each year. Despite the 12-hour drive, this was the most exciting and thrilling time of the year for me and my family.

My absolute favourite part of the trip was Ski School. Why? Because I got to ski with many kids, learn so many new things and ski with instructors I always looked up to. As I got older, I started skiing more and became more interested in technique and teaching, leading me to my ski instructor career.

For the past five years, I have spent several weeks on glaciers in Austria, taking courses, and exams and improving my skiing. I spent a whole season teaching in St. Anton last year, and during summertime, I returned to Denmark to work full-time at a school for kids with special needs.

I am very excited to return to St. Anton again this season. I can’t wait to meet new people, pass on my joy and excitement for skiing, and hopefully positively impact other skiers’ progress.

Top Tip

My pro tip is all about confidence. The most essential thing while skiing is to have fun, and you can’t have fun on the slopes unless you feel safe and confident on your skis. Plus – as you get more confident on the slopes, your position and movements also improve! So, win-win!
