Where to stay

Kicking off our accommodation recommendations is Chalet L’Amarante. Described by Tatler as ‘An interior designer’s dream’ this is the property where you simply don’t have to compromise. The privacy of a chalet, with the high-level service of a 5* hotel, in an unsurpassed location with a private lift to the slopes.

Honeymooning or hiding from the world? Well, look no further than La Petite Marmotte. It’s a cosy love nest for two, in the centre of Cospilot piste. Time to turn off your phone.

The kids are alright at Chalet Chincilla in the centre of 1850, with a private nanny service available to look after your little ones so you get the most out of your 5* surroundings and the world-class pistes.

If you fancy a slice of the mountains to call yours, look no further than the new Six Senses development. With treatments such as ginger and arnica hot-oil massages on offer (yours for €250), the 53 flats and penthouses at the residence come with access to all the facilities; saunas, wine cellars, pool and juice bar. Prices start from €1.5m

The jewel in the crown of Courchevel is undoubtedly Chalet Pearl. Having recently undergone a €1m refurbishment, this is a real ‘VIP’ option in the resort.

And if you fine dining is more your style then the Chabichou Hotel has not one but 2 Michelin star restaurants. Perfection on the piste.

If you’re looking for a modern ski chalet, in an authentic mountain village, this stunning chalet in Courchevel Le Praz with incredible mountain views could be just the ticket.

Where to eat

Courchevel has more Michelin starred restaurants than any other small town in the world. Our pick of the pack is, Le Chalet des Pierres (close to the beginner’s area, for any first-timers among you), Les Airelles Hotel or for real gourmet meal lovers the 1947 of the Cheval Blanc hotel is unsurpassed, being the only 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Courchevel.

For intermediate skiers and above, the whole mountain is opened up to you with some truly stunning places to eat. The choice is massive but our absolute favourite would be the Soucoupe at the top of Plantrey chairlift. Why? It’s all about the people, Marta, the Spanish owner, and Robin the fascinating sommelier is 50% of the charm of this beautiful spot at the top of the World Cup slope Emile Allais.

With our Ski Concierge Service, you’ll be greeted with the best table available, impeccable service and a wine list second to none in France. All of at a fair price for an unforgettable experience. And if you’re lucky enough to be in Courchevel for the World Cup week you’ll have a chance of a selfie with Lindsay Vonn warming up on the Soucoupe beautiful terrace, but keep it secret!

For the best experience, hit the mountains hard in the morning when the snow’s the best, with a healthy break for lunch (it’s all about regaining energy at lunchtime). We’ll make sure everyone’s safe back at the chalet before dark…

The best bar for a party is at the Folie Douce in Meribel, reachable even for non-skiers by lifts.
