Serre Chevalier ProXplore & ProVenture

Ski Guiding and Off Piste Adventures

With its quiet pistes and incredible off piste terrain Serre Chevalier is a great place to explore and cover some ground. And with the Col du Lautaret and La Grave in easy reaching distance make the most of your stay with an off piste guided adventure, for some serious bragging rights!

ProXplore and ProVenture are guiding adventures that show you more of what the Serre Chevalier region has to offer while forcing you to adapt and become creative in your skiing. For experienced, confident skiers, these adventures will have you storming down the mountain “with a sense of freedom that’s infectious,” says Gavin Crosby, ski school director.

Hankering after a day in nearby La Grave? Join our 1 or 2 Day proVenture and we’ll head to the infamous off piste mecca.

Ready for some ski-touring? From winter 2015-16, join us at the Col du Lautaret for an introduction to ski touring. Find out more here.

To recap, we run two types of guided days in and around Serre Chevalier:

    1. ProXplore is for intermediate skiers and offers a full day of ski guiding with tips, in Serre Chevalier or Montgenèvre.
    1. ProVenture is for advanced skiers, offering the ultimate off piste adventure OR an introduction to ski-touring over one or two days; ski with us in Serre Chevalier, Montgenèvre, La Grave or from the Col du Lautaret.

ProXplore and ProVenture are perfect for anyone keen to see the sights and cover lots of ground with as many (or few) pointers as you like en-route.

Avalanche safety equipment is required for the off piste days and is provided free of charge subject to availability.

Transport can be arranged for you and must be paid directly to the transfer/bus operator.

Safety First

Your safety is our first priority. So all off piste lessons and guided days are condition dependent. For most off piste sessions you will be required to wear avalanche safety equipment. If you don’t have your own equipment we have a limited supply for client use, subject to availability. Alternatively, we can recommend somewhere you can hire the equipment.

“As always we received an impeccable service from New Generation Ski – Mel’s efficiency in organising our children’s ski lessons, passes and the pre-booking of equipment, meant our first morning was really easy and hassle free! Thank you Mel. But our biggest thank you has to go to Gav for his endless patience, jokes, entertainment and brilliant instruction.”

April 2014

“Kiki our instructor in Monetier Le Bains was excellent. She explained principles and techniques well, she answered our questions knowledgeably and helped us to practise. An excellent instructor and we really felt our lessons helped enormously.”
