The season is starting to wind down here in the Alps, and that means it’s time to celebrate. The sun is out and everyone is ready to enjoy the end of the season with some parties and events. These are not to be missed!
Ski Resort Spring Events and Parties
Courchevel Dynastar X3
The ultimate mountain triathlon – cycling, trail running & ski touring – takes place on April 15th. Bike 13.9 kilometers, 6.3km run, 4.8km ski touring, whilst climbing 1880m in ascent. You can team up with two other people and each do one leg of the competition – you’ll be amongst some incredible athletes who do the entire race themselves. If running 6K isn’t on your to-do list it’s definitely worth heading out to watch these athletes in this awesome mountain race.
3 Valleys Charity Day
What started as La Tania Charity Day years ago, has now moved to Meribel Village and is a full-on end of season party all for a good cause. On April 11th get out and enjoy some music from headliner the Dub Pistols along with local favourites Bring Your Sisters, Livewire, the Dominos, and more. All proceeds go to the Sebastian’s Action Trust & Ligue Nationale Contre le Cancer, so you can rest easy your partying is going towards a good cause.
Féria Blanche / Hôt Peuf
Down for some good vibes, activities on the slope, music and more? Courchevel 1850 puts on a weekend fete at Verdons to close the season April 13-15th. With concerts and DJs all day, and La Folie Douce performers, it’s bound to be a fun day on the slopes. Here’s a glimpse from last year’s event:

Comité des Fetes de Tignes and Soap Box Race

Live in Tignes
Enjoy three full days and nights of free concerts during Live in Tignes. From April 17th – 19th enjoy loads of good music at Tignes le Lac & Lavachet. Artists include Bigflo & Oli, L.E.J., Shaka Ponk and plenty more. There will be two stages on the piste – which you will need a ski pass to enter – and another located in the center of Tignes.
Jazz à Val Thorens
Jazz à Vienne is coming to the slopes in their first Jazz à Val Thorens festival. For three days, April 10-12th, enjoy jazz music on the slopes from après hour on the slopes, another performance during aperitif hour, and a DJ playing into the wee hours. All jazz music with soul, blues, hip-hop and funk vibes and inspiration.
Val d’Isère Yoga Festival
From April 27-29th, Val d’Isère is holding their sixth annual Yoga Festival. Three days of yoga and well-being with 40 different classes you can attend. These include yoga, acro yoga, meditation, martial arts as well as other sports activities such as climbing, swimming, and snowshoeing. Check out their Facebook page for more info.
The end of ski season means lots of smaller events going on in resort as well. So no matter where you’re staying, pop into the tourist office and see what’s on, and celebrate the end of this snowy ski season!
